ScotRubyConf 5k, 26 March 2010

Story

The ScotRubyConf5k is inspired by this year's RubyConf5k, which raised over $1,300 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  The event will take place in the early evening of 26 March, when many of the Scottish Ruby Conference Delegates and speakers will decamp to Portobello to take part in the 5k race.

We strongly encourage race participants to donate a minimum of £10 to the conference's charity, The Children's Hospice Association Scotland, which provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Note that you are only under strong moral pressure to make a donation - it is not a requirement for entry to the race: it is ok to gift-aid the donation.

Thank you.
