We are a group of 10 (!) neonatal nurses & nursery nurses aka the SCBU 10 who work within a Special Care Baby Unit in Hastings. Our work involves looking after premature and sick babies; we nurse them back to health and support their growth. Our work is supported by BLISS, a charity which provides support and advice to parents of premature babies and neonatal professionals. BLISS complete vital research which has resulted in premature babies having a much higher chance at life beyond prematurity.

BLISS also provide training for neonatal professionals which enables us to provide the babies with a high level of care based on the best evidence available.

We want to give something back to BLISS in return for the support they give the parents and babies we look after. In September 2019 we will be skydiving, even though it's terrifying, in order to raise money for this fabulous charity that is so close to our hearts. Please help us reach our target (it'll make the fear worth it!)

Your sponsorship will be used by BLISS to provide training and support to neonatal care professionals enabling them to provide the best care possible. It will also allow BLISS to provide further support and guidance materials to parents of premature babies and carry out life-saving research to develop neonatal care.
