My wife, Linda, was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 and since that time has undergone radiotherapy, chemotherapy and countless operations which culminated 2 years ago with a total laryngectomy (if you're not sure, go ahead and Google it.  It's not something you would wish on anybody). 

Never one to give in, she has battled on stubbornly for over 9 years now.  However, the past couple of years have seen her decline more rapidly and she has been forced to give up work and is no longer allowed to drive.  Leaving the house without someone to help her is now a seemingly distant memory.

Throughout all of this Forest Holme Hospice have provided Linda with amazing support and care.  Her (our) life is so much better because of them.  They need to raise £500,000 per year just to keep going, so please help them out with just a couple of quid.

Linda celebrated her 46th birthday at the beginning of July 2014.  So, to do my bit I am aiming to run 46 miles over 4 consecutive Sundays:

a.  28 Sep 2014 - Solent half marathon

b.  05 Oct 2014 - Bournemouth half marathon

c.  12 Oct 2014 - Studland Stampede (7 miles)

d.  19 Oct 2014 - Salisbury half marathon

I will match each donation pound for pound up to the target of £500.
