The Mortlocks, Jaycocks and Hodgins' have chosen to participate in the full 100k Thames Path Challenge this coming September hoping to raise money and awareness for two charities very close to our hearts whilst at the same time raising our fitness levels!
Matt, Ian and I will be fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support (this page) and Gary and Vicky will be raising money for Count the Kicks (please message or see our Facebook pages for details).
The challenge will include a non-stop mixture of running, jogging and walking (and as I've often joked, probably some crawling towards the end) along 62.13 miles of the Thames Path, starting in London and finishing in Henley-on-Thames. We are aiming to complete the challenge within 24 hours!
This is a huge event and it will require a great deal of time, training and dedication over the coming months. We will of course be organising fundraising events throughout the year to help us reach our collective £1500 target, however if you are able to sponsor (either of the charities) we would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you in advance! xxx
