Here is a picture of Fran and I in training!!!  I have chosen Practical Action as the charity I am raising money for because they provide low-tech solutions for practical problems in developing countries.  They do not throw money at problems caused by poverty but instead provide training and technological solutions which  can be maintained by the people who use it: for example, providing wells and water storage systems, pit latrines, and renewable energy to provide electricity.
