Story
One cold January Sunday afternoon, I came up with the daft idea that I needed more stamina and would start running. I've never been a runner only a gymnast and netball player and after a car accident in June 2013 was sure my running days were well and truly over. But after having that daft idea I decided to be even more daft and go for it, and my 5k training started on a cold February Saturday morning. So I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year on Sunday 26th July .
Me being me of course thought I wouldn't just do the normal 5k race but put myself through the embarrassment of doing the "Pretty Muddy" challenge involving as much mud as possible along with a 5k run.
Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure. If I'm going to make a fool of myself then I want to raise as much money as possible.
I am raising money for both Cancer Research and the East of England Ambulance Services Community First Responders so please choose which you would prefer to donate to or better still split your donation between each cause.
If you want to come along and support me on the day by cheering me along, laughing at me or hosing me down afterwards then it would be great to see you.
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
Don't forget to add Gift Aid
If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no extra cost to you.
Sponsor me now, and help me show cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink.
