Story
***************** HURRAH I MADE IT!! ***************
Not in the manner that I anticipated since due to a nasty stomach bug it took me 10 toilet stops and 1/4 of a day but I got there in the end. An attempt at a final sprint did get me to the line in 1 minute under 6 hours though!
A massive thanks to everyone who sponsored me. Your donations honestly did help to get me round when things were looking bleak. Shaw Trust would also like to pass on their sincere thanks. All funds are vital to enable them to continue their work providing employment opportunities for disabled people.
Despite the "complications" the Marathon is such a fantastic event. I couldn't foresee how difficult it would be on the day but I also wasn't prepared for the amazing support that I received en route. When complete strangers are cheering you on at the top of their voices the thought of not continuing doesn't enter your mind. Well, not seriously! And thanks of course to everyone I do know who came out to cheer me on.
SO, ANYONE FANCY JOINING ME NEXT YEAR?
