Story

                           Women V Cancer Cycle Cuba

I have joined the third Women V Cancer cycle! This time the challenge is to cycle 400km across the island of Cuba. It has hills. I HATE hills.
I have now raised the required minimum target of
£2,900 and with LOTS of help from generous people like yourself, I've now beaten the total of £5040.00 that I raised in 2011 to cycle Kenya. But please still donate if you can. The smallest donation makes such a difference, and there can never be enough money for research. Read on...

This challenge is an opportunity for me to raise awareness and significant funds to help the fight against, ovarian, cervical and breast cancers.

Having had ovarian cancer in 2008, I understand very well how important it is for women to be aware of the symptoms [which are ridiculously easy to ignore] and how much it costs to fight this disease. The surgery and chemo alone cost a fortune - but the research costs even more. Without all these things, I would probably be dead.

So you can understand why I am up for raising money to help pay for it all can't you? There are so many women like me; given the shocking diagnosis of cancer - and I'd like to think that by raising awareness and funds for research, that maybe, I might save just one life...please help me do that?

And the worst thing is that these cancers can affect anyone at all - mothers, daughters, sisters, wives...so your money will be well spent.

Funds raised by Women V Cancer are divided equally between these three charities:
Ovarian Cancer Action
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust
Br
east Cancer Care
and used to support their valuable work. We're also supporting cancer care in Cuba; £50 of the funds each woman raises will be added to a further donation from Action for Charity, and used to fund a project helping women fight cancer in Cuba.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and read all this - help me if you can?
Thanks!
Sandhy
