This page has been set up to commemorate the work of Michael Samuels by raising funds for the Michael Samuels Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Undergraduate Research into Historical English Language. Michael was Professor of English Language at the University of Glasgow from 1959-89 and founder of the Historical Thesaurus of English project.
