Story
Thank you for visiting my justgiving page for Manchester Aid for Children, please just take a few minutes to read a bit about why i'm fundraising (and if you could stick the url on your facebook/twitter/etc that would be amazing).
In a few weeks I will be flying out to Lusaka, Zambia to work on behalf of the charity Manchester Aid for Children for two months. During this time I will be meeting with various groups in the Kitwe region and keeping up to date on the projects that we support whilst also being on the lookout for any new and worthy projects.
Throughout the duration of my stay I hope to connect schools out in zambia to schools here in Manchester, I have already started work on this by setting up an art project with Brookburn Primary School in Chorlton. For six weeks I have been working on posters with the Year 5 children that I will be taking out with me to Zambia to initiate the start of a relationship between schools.
For the majority of my trip I will be staying in paid accomodation but I am also planning to spend a week with a Zambian family to see how a typical Zambian live and spend their time.
I have already set up a blog which details the preparation for my trip and I will update regularly whilst out in Zambia. > http://sammyinzambia.blogspot.co.uk/
