UPDATE
As you all may know - I started, conquered and finished the London Marathon on Sunday. What a fantastic experience! The crowds were amazing and the highlights were, waiting at the start in glorious sunshine (the weather forecasters go that one wrong - thank goodness!) running over Tower Bridge and past Big Ben, knowing that the end was just around the corner......it felt like a very long corner! The brass band and a great singer crooning Van Morrison songs was greatly appreciated! I hit the famous runners `wall' at mile 23 and had to drag myself to number 24! The rain also decided to show up for a little while. Without doubt, knowing how much support I have had from friends and family in the UK, Spain and of course everyone in Los Gigantes kept me going and of course remembering the fantastic cause that we are helping. Much love and thanks to you all. Sam xxx
Just to let you know that I am running (or perhaps jogging.....!) The London Marathon at the end of April. Two main reasons. The first, as a way of remembering my darling mum, who died of Motor Neurone Disease and to raise money for the MNDA - so that we can help everyone affected by this terrible disease, which currently has no cure.
Training is tough at the moment, and I seem to hurt in new places every day....but am plodding on! Watch this space for information on fund raising events coming soon.
Thanks so much everyone
