Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
I am running the Wimbledon 10k on 11th March 2007. Half the entry fee goes to the NSPCC but all sponsorship of my run on this site, will for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church , Edge Hill Wimbledon Capital Fund, which Father Gerry Mitchell SJ and his team are working hard at making a great success.
The Society of Jesus at Wimbledon with the Parish team run one of the largest Catholic parishes in the UK. The capital fund will not only go towards maintaining the Church, its organ and halls but also provide urgently needed facilities for the Youth Minister's work with young people.
Attaining the full £1.3m+ sought by the Parish team for our capital funding will be an uphill struggle so please support them by sponsoring me in the 10k on the 11th March 2007.
The start is at Wimbledon Rugby Club's ground at Barham Road SW20 and the course includes the dreaded Wimbledon Hill but is otherwise quite ok though hardly traffic free.
The second half run along Worple Road will be a good home strait especially as it passes by Edge Hill, where the Sacred Heart Church and Hall buildings are sited.
I am aiming for sub 60 minutes
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Society of Jesus 1929 Trust for Roman Catholic Purposes will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.

EDIT 'Running' footnote: Generous donations offline, when added to the online total mean that my initial £250 target has been hit already. Thank you to all who have given or promised, sponsorship. The new target total is set at £500.
UPDATE: Generosity of Parishioners after Sunday Mass has resulted in some more offline donations - thank you to all; so the new target for on and offline donations is now £1,500. Keeping donations momentum going right up to 10Krace day on 11th March 2007 would be great.
GRATITUDE AND THANK YOUs:
The total raised on and off line to date exceed by a large margin my initial target of £250; indeed with a little luck and a lot of prayer, £2500 might yet be reached.
Thank you to every one for their donations and support.
