Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride · 8 July 2012
During our Honeymoon to Kenya last year we visited The Happy House in Watamu. This amazing project, set up and run by Sue Hayward, has been changing the lives of local children since 2010. It is home to children who have been orphaned, abandoned, and in some cases cruelly abused. We were both very keen to help Sue and her ever growing family at Happy House in anyway we could and now sponsor a 4 year old boy Harrison. Sue is always striving to improve the facilities avaliable at the Happy House and to help more children. They are currently extending their amazing school and when we heard they were in need of extra funds to finish the project Tom thought the ride from Manchester (our hometown) to Blackpool (Sue's hometown) would be a great way to spread the word and raise some cash.
We are grateful for any donations, we have seen for ourselves how every penny this charity raises really does go to change lives forever.
