Story
Over the course of 2010, Laura Tomlinson and Timothy Moss are planning to run the length of every tube line in London to raise money for the British Lung Foundation.
Why?
1) London is cool and this is an opportunity to combine sight-seeing and exercise.
2) It is a chance to have an urban adventure, exploring new areas of the city.
3) To raise money for the British Lung Foundation (more below).
...plus we don't think anyone has ever ran them all before.
How?
Many people have asked if we will be running the lines underground. No way (we value our lungs and our lives too much). We will be running overground, 'touching in' with our Oyster card at the beginning of each line and 'touching out' at the end.
Why the British Lung Foundation?
In May 2009, Laura sadly lost her grandad to asbestosis. This is a condition of the lungs caused by repeated exposure to asbestos fibres and is a painful and debilitating disease. The British Lung Foundation provides information and resources on all areas of lung disease including asbestosis, funds research and campaigns on key issues.
