Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Back in 2011 after recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I decided to run two 5km runs and a half marathon in support of the ME Association, who help so many people who are suffering with what can be a debilitating and life-changing ilness.

I recieved so much support that I decided to carry on fundraising for the ME Association by running the Reading Half AGAIN in 2012. I also raised money for the Royal Berkshire hospital.

Last year I decided to take a break and focus on overall health and fitness. But this year - i'm ready to take on a new challenge.

I'm planning on completing 2 super-sprint triathlons and one sprint triathlon this year. I completed my first tri last september and i've officially got the bug!

It would be fantastic if you could support me - every little helps. Thanks!

Update 09/04/2012 - Yipeeeeeeeee! I successfully managed to run the Reading Half Marathon on the 1st April 2012 in a time of 2hrs 25 mins and 35 seconds. I managed to wipe almost 25 minutes off my time from 2011, and was 5 minutes ahead of target of 2 hours 30 minutes.

I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) which sits under the umbrella term of ME in 2009. I'm now in the process of recovering, and want to raise awareness of the illness to others.

Please donate anything you can, whether it's £1 or £100! Any donation is gladly accepted! - PLEASE TEXT DONATE - it accepts amounts from £1-£10 (it accepts 1,2,3,4,5 and 10!) It's quick and easy - to donate please text EMME83 and the amount e.g. £1 to 70070.

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
