In March 2007, I will embark on an extremely tough challenge: to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – standing 6000 metres above the plains of Africa . It will be 5-6 days of arduous climbing on steep paths, made worse by the probability of rain and freezing cold temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius, before I reach the top.

I know that it won’t be easy, but I'm dedicating it with all my love to family and friends who have had to cross paths with the pain of cancer, and those who even now, are continuing to fight it. I need to collect a lot of money for Marie Curie Cancer Care in order to continue this fight against this terrible disease, not only through research into the causes and treatment of cancer, but also through hospices which continue daily to provide comfort, support and love for those people and their families who have reached the end of this long journey.

En Marzo 2007, estare lanzandome a una rigurosa expedicion hasta alcanzar la cumbre del volcan Kilimanjaro en Africa a 6000 metros de altura. Seran 5-6 dias de arduoso caminar con profundidades empinadas a escalar con lluvia probablemente y con temperaturas muy frias hasta de -20 centigrados en el pico del volcan.

Yo se que no sera facil, pero estoy dedicando este evento con mucho amor a familiares y amigos que han cruzado la trajectoria del dolor de cancer, y algunos que aun lo estan combatiendo. Necesito recaudar muchos fondos para Marie Curie Cancer Resarch para poder continuar con la lucha contra esta terrible enfermedad, no solo para los estudios de investigacion para encontrar su cura, sino tambien para los hospicios que continuen su diaria labor en proveer comodidad, apoyo y amor a las personas y sus familias en estos ultimos dias de este largo caminar.
