On Friday 28 June I'm taking part in The Big Walk 2019 to raise funds for Sheffield Student Scholarships.  I aim to complete 23 miles through the Peak District to the University via Ladybower, Derwent Edge and Bradfield.

Bright students can be deterred from pursuing a university education by the rising costs of tuition fees, living expenses, books and equipment, and by the fear of taking on huge debts.  I'm keen to give able students from lower incomes and disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to come and continue their education here in Sheffield.
