Story
As some of you might know I lost my mum last year after years of her struggling with Alzheimers and gradually deteriorating.
The support available to people suffering from any kind of dementia is pretty limited and it's really hard for families to watch somone they know and love turn into almost a completely different person.
As the Alzheimer's society do so much to help families and sufferers cope with this, when I entered the marathon on the day my mum died to help me get through it, it seemed to make perfect sense to raise money for them. Thanks to my fellow runners Martin, Anna and Ania who have very sweetly agreed to help raise money for them too!
Since then, between us, we've done over 1,000 training miles, ran through the wind, rain and snow, ran until we've made ourselves throw up but have gradually got faster and further and are now up to 17 miles in our longest runs and still going.
Thanks for supporting us!
