Story
Well, I've been out of touch recently on here but I've not been slacking. I've managed to improve my Half Marathon PB and completely obliterated my fundraising target. Now, I'm on the taper with only 3 weeks to go. Things are looking rosy
RIP Dad. I couldn't save you but one day we'll beat this awful disease 28/05/52 - 04/02/16
I am running the Manchester Marathon (my 1st EVER) in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. Cancer affects so many people, so at some point, either you, or someone you know, will be affected by this disease. Bone Cancer, with many others, can be overlooked by the big cancer charities and that is why I want to do my bit.
My father (my Hero) has been fighting cancer for 5 years and recently we have been given the devastating news that his fight will be coming to an end. He has been told he is now Terminal and has less than 6 months to live.
I want to complete this race for myself, but especially for him. Whether he is with me cheering me on, or with me in spirit, I want to raise as much as I can for this fantastic charity.
