Story
We've done it!!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
In May, I issued a challenge to Mike Greaves, Head of School of Medicine at Aberdeen University - to run the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon on 1st October 2006 in support of the Matthew Hay project.
On Sunday we ran the Marathon and despite a photo finish where I might have beaten the grey haired, short one by a chest, we crossed the line together, smashing personal best times and coming in joint 3rd in the over 50's race!
In addition to our times, we both managed to beat our fundraising targets of £2000 to go towards the project, so thanks to everyone who lent their support and sponsored us. Those of you who thought we wouldn't make it to the finish line and so didn't sponsor us, you can still donate by clicking on 'sponsor us now' above!
As the Medical Director of NHS Grampian, I am very proud to be involved with the Matthew Hay Project - a landmark development to create a new teaching centre on the Foresterhill site. Please help us to raise our target of £4.5million by sponsoring me. For further information please visit www.nhsgrampian.org and click on the Matthew Hay link.
Donating through justgiving.com is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. The Matthew Hay Project will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you through GiftAid.
Please feel free to forward this webpage link to any friends, family or work colleagues who you may feel would like to donate to help reach the target.
Thank you very much
