At least twenty countries, a conservative estimate of fifteen thousand miles, a route based on random pointing at a map and place names we liked the sound of (who wouldn’t want to go to a place called Bergas?!), camping across Northern Europe in the depths of Winter, a handful of schoolboy French phrases, a point book and two bikes…..sounds easy….

Our plan come September, is to cycle from the UK, meander through Europe to Georgia, hop over to India, cycle the Himalayas and down through South East Asia, raising money for Friends of Alalay and discovering what there is out there…..
