Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started cycling properly in 2014 as a way to loose weight and to aid recovery from a neck operation. Little did I know how much it would change my life. Cycling has helped me shed 3 stone, re-connected me with old friends, introduced me to new ones and given me a way to get away from the stresses and strains of daily life.

I decided that as I approach 40 a mid-life crisis challenge was required and LEJOG fitted the bill. This challenge will take and push me beyond anything else I've ever done. Cycling 100 miles in a day is fine, but for 9 consecutive days? That's a question I hope to answer.

I'm using this challenge to raise money for Parkinsons UK. Parkinsons has affected my family directly and they rely solely on donations so please support me and my cause by giving as much as you can.

Thank you, Rob Welford.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
