Thanks for visiting my page.  By now you should have spotted that I am putting myself through this gruelling test of strength, courage, stamina and most importantly I will be testing the healing powers of vaseline in the hope of raising money for Diabetes UK.

Diabetes UK is a charity very close to my heart and I just want to share a few points with you that you may not be aware of, did you know......

- 100 amputations a week are caused by diabetes - all unnecessary

- 1million people in the UK are blind because of diabetic retinopathy - their sight could have been saved.

- 220,000 deaths a year from conorary heart disease and kidney disease, most caused by diabetes.

I am raising money for research into the causes, care and potential cure of the disease and your help in me reaching my target is greatly appreciated.
