Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Nightingale House Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
As you may know I have raised funds for Nightingale house before now. This time it is even more meaningful as earlier this year my Uncle Ifor spent 2 weeks as an in patient there before peacefully falling asleep for the last time. My sister Hannah & I were with him at the end , and the preceding days we witnessed the wonderful loving care given by all the hospice staff & volunteers. Uncle was so grateful for their care. At his memorial service we gave thanks for his life and also for the care given to Uncle by the hospice and hospital staff in his last weeks.
With your help over the last 6 years together we have raised several £1,000 for several charities, please help once more & as always ; any amount is welcome.
With your encouragement I have completed marathons in Dublin, London, Blackpool and around Lake Vyrnwy since 2001. The 2008 Dublin marathon will be my 8th since hitting 40, my 1st as a 50+ and my 10th marathon.
I will still be chasing that elusive 4hrs, but a more realistic time would be 4hrs 19 which would still be a personal best. Is it achievable – with your help & Uncle’s memory it maybe?
See my training ( & injury) blog at www.blogmold.blogspot.com. thanks for your help
Here's a request - what inspirational music would YOU play on an MP3 player? Help please add your suggestion in the comments box. I may need them later in the race at mile 18 and miles 20 to 26 !! Thanks !!!
Rob
