Story
After getting some tickets to the boxing finals at the Commonwealth Games, Roan had the 'brilliant' idea that we should run there. We also thought this was a great chance to raise some money for a new rehabilitation project through brainstrust.
Neither of us can really comprehend how far this is or have run further than a half-marathon, and so this will be a real achievement (and will probably be the last time either of us ever run again).
Please read the information below about the project we are raising money for, and please donate!
Rehabilitation, support and care for patients with a brain or spinal cord tumour:
Patients living with a brain or spinal cord tumour often experience physical, cognitive, psychological, mood and seizure related problems following treatment. The transitions that occur following treatment in order to regain a sense of normality and to improve quality of life can be hard, and patients can feel they haven't received enough information, support or help. The neurorehabilitation project aims to improve the protocols and pathways of referral for patients with a brain or spinal cord tumour in order for patients to receive the support and care they need.
We are raising money for a neurorehabilitation project through brainstrust, a charity who's advice and support is invaluable.
