Story
The Open Championship really is a very special event and this year it’s a BIG ONE! And I’m celebrating the 150th edition with a very special challenge supporting Prostate Cancer UK by walking 150 miles from Prestwick Golf Club (the home of the first Open Championship) to St Andrews (the venue for the 150th Open this year).
I’m raising money to help fund lifesaving research to beat prostate cancer - the most common cancer in men. 1 in 8 men get the disease - thousands of dads, uncles, brothers, partners and mates at the golf club.
I’d love it if you can sponsor me to help raise money to fund a better way to diagnose men earlier and effectively keep more golfers in the game for longer.
I’m walking 6 marathons in 6 days (26.2 miles a day) starting on Tuesday 14th June at Prestwick GC in Men’s Health Week, finishing on Father’s Day (Sunday 19 June) at The Old Course, St Andrews. I’ll be visiting a few golf clubs on the way, investigating the history of The Open Championship and supporting Prostate Cancer UK as I go.
I’m also doing all this with MY GOLF CLUBS ON MY BACK!
I hope you can support my Walk 150 challenge and help support a cause that helps so many golfers and their families. Thank you.
