Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I was injured whilst serving with the military and eventually lost my left leg. I have always been into sport and a couple of years ago I became interested in sea kayaking.

I intend to kayak around the entire coastline of the UK mainland, a distance of around 2000 miles. Only a handful of people have ever managed to complete this and to my knowledge I will be the first disabled person to complete this task.

BLESMA help support injured service men and women who have lost limbs or their sight through their military service. They provide them with exciting rehabilitaion events including sailing, skiing, diving, parachuting and golf (amongst others), which help the injured to come to terms with their disabilities.

I intend to start out in March 2014 and expect the trip to take around 4 months, although this will be dependant on the weather conditions.
