Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I know that 10km isn't a lot, in fact I know that some of you have done half and full marathons before, and fair play to you. Let's be honest though, and I'm sure many of you can vouch for this; I'm not exactly physically built for long distance am I. I play prop in rugby and goalkeeper in 5-a-side football, so long distance running isn't my forte or favourite thing in the world.

Therefore, in an attempt to lose some weight and improve my fitness, and at the same time raise some money for a fantastic charity, I've decided to take the plunge and challenge myself to do the BUPA 10km run in Manchester on behalf of the Alzheimer's Society.

The Alzheimer's Society has a place in my heart as my beloved grandfather, Charles Morris, died of this disease in 2003 after suffering from it for a few years. I think its about time I showed my appreciation for their wonderful work. The support they give to sufferers and their families is invaluable.

Please sponsor me now!

Thank you very much.

P.S. If anyone wants to join me on the run...be my guest!! The more the merrier, and hopefully more money! Don't hesitate to visit the BUPA or Alzheimer's Society website to find out more about the event

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
