Story
Welcome to the "Don't Give Up, Japan!" Donation page.
All donations will be giving directly to "Civic Force" in Japan which is a team of Emergency Rescue Operations helping those who are in the most need after the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11th, 2011.
【WHAT THE FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR】
As you already know, Japan experienced the biggest earthquake in history on March 11, 2011. Many lives were taken and those who survived are still going through the shock of their changed lives. Children are finding themselves orphaned after the tsunami has taken their parents and their homes. Those who survived have surviver's guilt and are trying to get to grips with how to help the economy of Japan.
Japan and the Japanese have come together and we are going to do our part to get our feet back on the ground. But we ask you for your help during these times of sorrow and pain.
We are challenging to raise 1 million yen (about US$10,000) as these funds will be used to support the rescue operations and for medicine, water, food, and anything necessary to assist with the evacuation and support.
【WHO ARE WE AND WHY WE ASK DONATIONS】
Russell is from England and Tomoe is from Okinawa (southern part of Japan). We moved to Japan from London in 2008 with only two suitcases, leaving everything we had. One reason was to be closer to Tomoe's parents and the other reason was to start our business from scratch here in Tokyo.
We love Japan and we will continue to build our business from Tokyo with the intention to help the Japanese economy. We would like to ask for your kind assistance to work with us in helping the victims of the earthquake and tsunami by donating whatever you can to help rescue the survivors.
【HURDLES TO OVERCOME】
The world is going through a financial crisis at this time and everyone is having challenges with their funds. For us to try to raise money for affected victims at this time is trying but we ask even for the smallest funds as every penny will be used to help with the rescue operations as well as to help the Japanese get back onto their feet. Your contribution, however small, will immensely help so please donate as much as you are able to. We sincerely appreciate your support.
【THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KINDNESS】
We really appreciate your kindness and generosity to help us with this challenge of raising funds for Japan. If you would agree with us and support us, we would appreciate it if you would click on the "donate now" button.
Please help Japan. We will get back on our feet and will return this debt forever.
