A team from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is running a 10k for the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) on November 5! Please do sponsor us – we need a lot of motivation to run in the first place, and we’re hoping to raise a lot of funds for meningitis research.

The MRF has a particularly personal connection for our team – two years ago Lizzie’s 17-year-old niece, Penny, suddenly passed away from bacterial meningitis. The symptoms are very similar to the flu or the common cold, making it very difficult to diagnose, and less than 36 hours after being sent home from school, Penny was gone. The MRF, by supporting research and raising awareness, is working to make sure this never happens to another family. We are proud to run for them.
