Story
Dear Supporter,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please read my below NOTE and dig deep to sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Aplastic Anaemia Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
A PERSONAL NOTE:
Dear Supporter
Between 15 - 17 June 2007, following more than six months of intensive physical training and 30 lbs lighter, I am going to take part in The AAT London Paris Triathlon. When I complete the 1km swim, 10km run and 80km cycle, not only will I be achieving a personal goal, but I will hopefully be making many other dreams come true too.
All the time given up for training and the pain of competing in the event, will be worth all the effort, because I will be putting myself through it all in aid of The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (Registered Charity No. 1107539).
The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (AAT) is the only charity in the dedicated to supporting sufferers of the bone marrow disease aplastic anaemia. Aplastic anaemia can occur at any age but it is particularly severe in children. It is more common than some types of leukaemia and just as devastating. The money I raise through this event will benefit the sufferers of aplastic anaemia greatly.
Despite all of my physical and mental training and preparation, the biggest challenge so far seems to be finding the financial support to make this event a success for The AAT. This is where I hope you can potentially help! I would really appreciate it if you could provide some financial support in order to help me achieve my £1,500 fundraising goal.
In return for your support, I would like to offer you something in return -in addition to the knowledge that you are helping to improve the lives of aplastic anaemia sufferers. If you would like me to, I will wear a T-shirt featuring your company name and logo, or have some publicity photos taken at the end of the event in front of a banner - again featuring your company name and logo. You could then use them in your company newsletter or perhaps for some PR for the local newspapers.
I would be very happy to consider any other promotional or fund-raising suggestions that you may have. Please remember that no matter whatever help you are able to give, it will be gratefully received by The AAT, the sufferers of aplastic anaemia and their families.
Thanking you in anticipation of your support
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
