On July 22nd of this year Peterborians Tim Norris and Tom Ingham are undertaking a massive challenge. They are setting out on an 8000 mile journey, across 1/4 of the earth's surface to raise money for Send a Cow and
The Christina Noble Foundation. Send a Cow are comitted to helping people in the 3rd world to become self-sufficient by supplying them with livestock and training them in rearing animals.
Known as "
The Mongol Rally", the event is a 3-4 week trek from the East end of London to Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia. If you think this is mad, then just consider that the whole thing is being done in an E-Reg Fiat Panda! Molly the Panda has a whole 999cc of power under the hood and is going to be propelling Tim and Tom very slowly to their destination and in complete style :P
Last year 70 vehicles took part and this year there are going to be even more. They need your help to reach their £2000 Send a Cow target.
