St Albans Half Marathon 2015 · 14 June 2015 ·

Our staff and volunteers work incredibly hard to support all those over 18 affected by a brain injury living in Hertfordshire. They provide vital information, support and services to people with an acquired brain injury, their families and carers, across the county. Improving life after brain injury

Story

Headway Hertfordshire are a local charity based in Hatfield, who support people affected by brain injury. Over 6000 suffer with brain injuries per year in Hertfordshire alone! That’s the same number of people that entered our event in 2014. Headway Hertfordshire’s aim is to enable adults with brain injuries and their carers to cope with their life changes and move forward to achieve their best possible outcomes. The Chief Executive Karyn Jones says ‘The money raised from this event will go towards continuing the high level of services we offer to the Hertfordshire District including; rehabilitation, counselling and providing support work for clients and carers. Our mission is to ensure that every individual affected by brain injury in Hertfordshire has equal access to information, services and support, whenever they are needed, so that they can lead the best lives they can.’ For more information on the charity, please visit www.headway-herts.org.uk
