We raise awareness of AIDS through cricket to strengthen communities and fight disease

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be flying out to Botswana with the charity Cricket Without Boundaries in April 2012, where we will spend two weeks living in remote villages getting kids to play cricket and developing the skills of local teachers and volunteers to coach the game.

It's a great extension to the work I do with the Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust in rural England and is a really good cause. Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) has been going for over 5 years and operate in 4 of the poorest African countries (www.cricketwithoutboundaries.com). Along with bringing communities together and giving kids the opportunity to play sport we also aim to raise HIV/Aids awareness.

I will cover all my travel/living expenses and most significantly my food bill!

However, we need funds to buy sports equipment that we will leave with the communities as part of the legacy. All money raised will go directly to pay for this.  I really appreciate any contribution that you can make no matter how small.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks!

Rachael
