Linkaid is the staff charity of Linklaters, the law firm. It raises money through donations and fundraising events, organised by a dedicated committee, and makes grants solely to other charities.

Story

In December 2007, we'll be setting off with up to 25 other boats on a 2,800 mile rowing race across the Mid Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to Antigua. The journey will take anything up to two months to complete and (weather permitting) we'll be rowing in pairs for consecutive shifts, for the duration of the race.

We are also using the race to raise awareness and money for three fantastic charities: The Big Issue Foundation, Crisis and Raleigh International. These charities not only provide direct help to the vulnerable and those in need, but also seek to rehabilitate, teach new skills and to give people the motivation and support to take control of their lives and rebuild confidence in themselves. For more information about the charities, the event and our team please visit our website: www.atlanticrowingchallenge.com

All race costs and expenses are being covered by ourselves and our team sponsors. Please therefore be assured that any money donated through this page will go where it is most needed - to the charities themselves.

For administrative purposes, we have named LinkAid as our justgiving recipient charity. However, the trustees of LinkAid have kindly agreed to distribute all money donated through this page to our three nominated charities.

Thank you very much for your support.
