Prostate Cycle · 5 July 2007
On the first of August Jack and Tom will be cycling from Gloucester, across Europe covering 3,000 miles to the southern tip of Turkey. We are doing this to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity, a British based charity which funds research and provides valuable information and support to individuals and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.
Making up almost a quarter of all cancer diagnoses in men, prostate cancer is second only to skin cancer in its prevalence. Most men will develop this cancer in some form by the time they are 90. Please support the Prostate Cancer Charity in their efforts to raise awareness and fund research in the campaign for faster diagnosis and more effective treatment.
Tom - "When my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year, I was not aware of just how common it is. Chances are you have a family member who has been helped by the Prostate Cancer Charity's work. Please make the most of this opportunity to give something back and help others who will find themselves in the same position."
Jack - "Prostate cancer is second only to lung cancer in the number of deaths it causes each year. Please give generously such that the Prostate Cancer Charity can continue to fund scientific research into new types of diagnosis and treatment."
