In February 2018 I will be volunteer with Restless Development, an amazing youth-led development charity.  I'll be working in Uganda on projects focusing on employability and livelihoods as well as sexual health and rights.  78% of Uganda's population is under 30, with 80% of young people remaining unemployed and 61% lacking the knowledge required to protect themselves from HIV.  

I’ll be going as a Team Leader, meaning that I will also be supporting a group of volunteers through the project. It’s a fantastic opportunity to have an impact on an important community issue, learn more about the development sector, lead a team and have an amazing, cross-cultural experience. 

As I prepare for my project with Restless Development, I am fundraising for its incredible work to be continued - all money raised will go directly to the charities - it will NOT fund my costs as a volunteer. Please donate whatever you can! Thank you :)
