Story
On 9th September, Gosia and I will be taking part in a charity bike ride around the (hopefully) flat, quiet and sunny lanes of Warwickshire. Starting in Stratford-Upon-Avon the Macride covers various distances upto 100km (or 63miles if you prefer) and raises money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
To make it a challenge, Gosia will be riding a single-speed (it doesn't have any gears!) bike on the 50 mile course while I will be riding fixed-gear (it doesn't have any gears or a freewheel - that means you can't ever stop pedalling) on the 100km course.
Please take a minute to visit the Macmillan site and see what we are raising money for. It is a very worthy cause...
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
If you don't want to use the site, please let us know and we can bring a good, old-fashioned sponsorship form.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
Gosia and Ian.
*il pompino is the name of the bikes we are riding. They are made by on-one and the name means something very rude in italian. please do not use the internet at work to find out what...
