Story
I am going to try and run one marathon a month to raise funds for Ashgate Hospice. The Hospice has estimated that the Coronavirus pandemic will result in lost revenue of £2 million and that its income will continue to be affected for a number of years. As well as the effect of Coronavirus, the amount which Ashgate receives from local health budgets has not increased since 2014 meaning that it now receives less than it did six years ago in real terms.
In addition the Hospice faces increases in demand through the winter and needs to secure additional funding to ensure it can help as many people though the coming months.
I work at Ashgate Hospice and I hope that this is a way I can contribute, in a direct way, to the finances of the organisation. Please do consider supporting me as generously as you can - I will need all the motivation I can get to keep going for the next year!. Every little helps - please donate if you are able so we can continue to provide a service to patients that require hospice and community palliative care!
