Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
Our team of three (me, my Mum and my Mum's bezzie, Gale) are taking part in Peter Kay's Dance for Life in Cardiff on 27th February for Cancer Research UK. We will be dancing away for 3 hours solid as the great Peter Kay spins the decks, all in aid of raising money for Cancer Research UK. Please donate what you can if you wouldn't mind please, it's a very worthy cause.
Our team and why we're taking part:
Nina
I remember when I was a teenager I could probably only name one or two people affected by cancer, including a lovely neighbour of ours which. Sadly as the years have passed the number of friends and lovely people I know who've been affected has just gone up and up. I want to raise money to research a cure for cancer. Among those affected are four of my closest friend's Mums in just a few years; unbelievable. I also remember my family paying our respects to two of our wonderful neighbours in the space of a coupe of years because of cancer. One of whom was far too young, both of whom were inspiring in their own right and just great, brilliant people. There are lots of others, the list goes on and on and even our beautiful dog Tara who really is a member of our little family has been affected just recently so basically, I hate cancer.
One of my best friend's Mums I mentioned also happens to be my Mum's best friend, Gale, my lifelong bestie's Mum. Our Mums have such a giggle when they're together and are both gorgeous, inspiring Mums. A few years ago, Gale had to battle cancer herself. Gale, thank goodness is here to tell her tale. She also now constantly takes part in fundraising events and awareness campaigns for various cancer charities and she inspires others all the time, including me and my Mum.
I absolutely love Peter Kay, I'm a huge fan and love to dance and to fundraise for a great cause so this is a perfect opportunity. I rarely get a babysitter thesek days to enable me to get to a gym so I'm pretty unfit! This will be a challenge for me, I'm usually in my pjs by 8:30pm and this event goes on until 10pm! Despite dancing each and every day way, way back when, I am now unfit and an exhausted Mum so please sponsor, I need your help!

My cancer diagnosis hit hard and made me feel lost, angry and depressed but eventually I found hope and the strength to get myself through it all.
A cancer diagnosis changes you forever, you always remember the moment it came.
I use my cancer experience to help others who are forced to go through the same thing.

Nina and Gale have said it all so I will just add that I too love Peter Kay, love dancing and want to raise money to help to end this horrific disease which too many people have sadly suffered from.
Thank you all for reading and for your support Xxx
