Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm riding from Land's End, Cornwall, to John O'Groats, Scotland, via Portsmouth, London and Cambridge.
Why? I have a brain tumour, and I'm planning to visit people like me, and their doctors, in some of Britain's leading hospitals for brain treatment.
The ride has two aims:
1. to raise money. Brain Tumour UK gets it all (plus the tax refund if you sponsor me on this page) and they will use it to contribute to the costs of a specialist neurosurgery nurse at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, as well as to developing support for brain tumour patients and carers at the new Cancer Centre in Great Shelford, south of Cambridge.
2. to raise awareness. Not many people get brain tumours - thank goodness - but most of those who do are dead within a year of diagnosis. And brain tumour patients die tragically young, on average losing 20 years of what would have been their life.
My ride route is at:
and I'll be maintaining a periodic blog (daily during the ride, I hope) at:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brain Tumour UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
