Had you asked me this time last year if I fancied running a marathon, I'd have probably laughed in your face and then gone off to eat a giant snack. However earlier this year, in March or so, I decided to have a crack at a 10K race and after 3 months of steady training I conquered the distance and have now set my sights higher.
A marathon is a long way, and over the next 4 months I'm going to be running hundreds of miles in preparation, including competing in a Half Marathon at Silverstone Race Course in March 2008. My poor and previously unathletic legs are aching at the prospect but at the same time I'm sure they'll find it within themselves to carry me through to the end.
Please sponsor me, even if its only £2. The delightful chaps at the Anthony Nolan Trust are worth every penny, fighting their fight against leukaemia in the UK. It costs £70 to tissue-type just one person on to their nation-wide register, so every person that I can put on the register is another life that might one day be saved. It's totally worth it!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
