Story

Thanks for visiting our donation page. Pepcy Zala Standen was born asleep on the 25th May 2012 at Blackpool Victoria hospital. This was an incredibly difficult time for us, which was made easier by the staff on the delivery suite, the sonograph unit, and Pauline; the senior midwife. They all work incredibly long hours in a job thats only reward is that they are helping others. We wanted to do something for them, so we bought them baskets of muffins and cakes. Now we want to do something for the hospital, as much of the equipment is purchased by donations, including tv's etc. in the delivery suites themselves. We are raising money in various ways, Bob and Linda have agreed to ride the lights this year on the 28th August, which is a 10 kilometer bike ride along Blackpool's seafront. Simon, Sarah and Dave will be bathing in Baked Beans on the 1st September, and anyone can come along and buy a tin to tip onto their heads (all proceeds go to the charity).Thank you all for donating, all the money raised is going to such a worthwhile cause. Details of other fundraising can be found on the Valdene hotels blog, which you can follow by clicking here
