Story

Welcome to the Parmiter's Three Peaks Challenge Fundraising Pages.

The staff, students, parents and friends of Parmiter's School in Garston, Hertfordshire set themselves a challenge, and have risen to it, literally.

Over the weekend of 27 to 29 June, 24 teams from Parmiter's School scaled one, two or three of the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales, (Scafell Pike - 978m, Ben Nevis - 1344m, and Snowdon - 1085m, respectively). For the dedicated, the challenge was to climb all three peaks within a 24 hour period. For the less adventurous (some might say less foolhardy) the challenge was to climb one or more of the three peaks over the weekend.

We are delighted to announce that all 24 teams completed their challenges successfully (and safely), including all four teams that attempted the three peaks within 24 hours! Many congratulations are due to everyone who took up the challenge.

Whatever the individual challenges, our combined purpose was to raise money through sponsorship and donations. The money raised by the challenge will be used to provide an outside, covered, seating area for the students. However, the school also wishes to raise money to support other young people. Therefore, we will be donating 20% of the money raised to the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity devoted to improving the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer.

For more information about the Teenage Cancer Trust please visit their website at www.teenagecancertrust.org.

Although we have completed the challenge it is not too late to sponsor us via this page or via one of the individual team fundraising pages listed below.

Sponsorship through these fundraising pages is simple, fast and secure. And if you are a UK taxpayer then please don't forget to "gift aid" your sponsorship money; it means that we can collect an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue at no cost to you!
