The staff, students, parents and friends of Parmiter's School in Garston, Hertfordshire have set themselves a challenge, and are rising to it, literally.

The goal is to scale the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales, (Scafell Pike - 978m, Ben Nevis - 1344m, and Snowdon - 1085m, respectively), over the weekend of 29th June to 1st July. For a few teams the challenge will be to climb all three peaks in just 24 hours! Other teams will climb all three peaks in 48 hours, and some will climb one, two or all three peaks over the course of the three challenge days. Whatever the individual challenges, our combined target is to raise £20,000 through sponsorship and donations.

The money raised by the challenge will be used to provide an outside, covered, seating area for the students. However, the school also wishes to raise money to support other young people. Therefore, we will be donating 25% of the money raised to the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity devoted to improving the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer.

For more information about the Teenage Cancer Trust please visit their website at www.teenagecancertrust.org.

We have many teams taking part in the challenge and the team fundraising pages, as they are set up, are listed above. Please visit the team pages to see how they are doing, and don't forget to return to this page regularly for an update. We will be adding the total raised for all the team fundraising pages to this page to give an overall figure of money raised to date.

Sponsorship through these fundraising pages is simple, fast and secure. And, if you are a UK taxpayer then please don't forget to "gift aid" your sponsorship money; it means that we can collect an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue at no cost to you.

Thank you for your support.
