Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I must be absolutely mad, but when my friend Steve Pick suggested I run the Great North Run, I thought it sounded a good idea - I had no idea how hard running was!

I could have done non-impact sports but nooo, I had to go and ruin my knees! Well, it's worth it. My dad was diagnosed as diabetic a few years ago and should have collapsed by the time he got to hospital. Lots of people live with diabetes without knowing it, and it's not as easy to treat as everyone makes out. For some people it can be debilitating and hopefully the money you'll donate will go towards Very Good Things.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now! And support my knees.

Many thanks for your support.
