This year I am very fortunate to be part of the Happy Days Children's Charity team for the Great North Run. This will be my third GNR and just like the previous 2 years I am ever thankful for any donation you can make, this time to an organisation that has helped so many children already and with our help can continue to help thousands more.

Since 1992, Happy Days has been organising and funding special days such as trips to the seaside, theatres, museums, outdoor activity centres, sporting events and other educational and cultural activities for children in the UK living with mental, physical and emotional difficulties.

With your help, they were able to support almost 25,000 children with additional needs last year, giving them a chance to get out, meet new people, develop new skills and build confidence in the face of adversity.
