Story

Let’s Get Physical!

Last year saw Tania and Shannon testing their mental resolve by each giving up something they loved, alcohol and talking, respectively. Alongside this the pair began their sign language learning journey, something they still do now!

2024 sees the pair challenging themselves in a new way…

Tania and Shannon will spend their two weeks of fundraising for WOMAC (womac.co.uk) by each completing 5k a day – be it walk, run, jog, or crawl! And just to add a hint of motorsport and because we wouldn’t want to make it too easy, they will be completing their final 5k on Saturday 27th June around the Oulton Park circuit, following the conclusion of the on track Gold Cup activity.

Shannon and Tania would very much appreciate your sponsorship as they are working so hard to raise money for the chosen WOMAC charities – OPA (https://opa.org.uk/) and Cure Leukaemia (https://www.cureleukaemia.co.uk/)

WOMAC is Women on the Move Against Cancer - WOMAC funds a different cancer project each year. It could be to help patients at home as well as in a hospital or hospice, perhaps to provide equipment or buildings for the treatment of men, women or children. Sometimes the choice is determined by the care a friend, relation or colleague has received. Sometimes another particularly worthy cause is brought to WOMAC's attention by the medical profession.
