Story
UKMCC - UK's Naval Headquarters in Bahrain, is looking to raise as much for The Amelia Mae Foundation (1154326) as possible through two events.
The reason we are doing this is to support children who suffer from a terrible debilitating and cruel form of cancer called Neuroblastoma.
'Neuroblastoma is a rare type of cancer that mostly affects babies and young children.
It develops from specialised nerve cells (neuroblasts) left behind from a baby's development in the womb.
Neuroblastoma most commonly occurs in 1 of the adrenal glands situated above the kidneys, or in the nerve tissue that runs alongside the spinal cord in the neck, chest, tummy or pelvis.
It can spread to other organs, such as the bone marrow, bone, lymph nodes, liver and skin.
It affects around 100 children each year in the UK and is most common in children under the age of 5.
The cause is unknown. There are very rare cases where children in the same family are affected, but generally, neuroblastoma does not run in families.' https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/neuroblastoma/
The Amelia-Mae Foundation does fantastic work to support children and their families when they need it most. Please take a look at their webpage and social channels to find out what amazing work they do.

The first event will be the IFBB West Asian Body Building Championships, where an ambassador for the charity and CPO Steve Winter will compete for the UK whilst also representing UKMCC; a prestigious first for a Western person to enter the event. This event runs from August 17-19th. In the event, he will be competing against top-level bodybuilders from across Asia.
The second event will be a Spinathon where members of UKMCC will take turns on the spin bikes for a 12-hour period. Anyone who has been spinning before will know this is a tough ask, as one spinning session is normally enough for your legs to feel like Jelly.
Please, donate what you can, we know times are tough for everyone.
But if you can, even £1 will go towards making a difference
Thank you
