Story
This year marks 40 years of the NSPCC — and it also happens to be my 40th birthday. To mark both milestones, I’m taking on a charity challenge that combines adventure, creativity, and fundraising, all in support of a cause that works tirelessly to protect children across the UK.
The challenge is to buy or build a small campervan, turning it into a fully usable, off-grid camper with solar power and a proper leisure battery setup. Once complete, I’ll drive it from the UK to the Nürburgring in Germany and back again within 72 hours, living entirely in the camper along the way — sleeping, eating, and travelling as it was designed to be used.
The Nürburgring lap is the fun (and slightly ridiculous) part of the challenge — but the real aim is to raise as much money as possible for the NSPCC, helping them continue their vital work supporting and protecting children.
Fundraising will take place throughout the journey, including:
This JustGiving page
QR codes shared online and during the trip
A documented video series showing the build, preparation, and adventure
At the end of the challenge, the completed camper will be raffled to further maximise the donation to the NSPCC, helping every pound raised go even further.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps make a real difference. Thank you so much for your support — it genuinely means a lot.
